Florence ‘Amerigo Vespucci’ airport is connected to the city center via the tramway. From Florence Airport, take the T2 tram towards the center of Florence and get off at the “San Donato-Università” stop (ca. 5 minutes). From this tram stop you can reach the conference venue on foot in a few minutes.
From the main train station of Florence (Santa Maria Novella) take the T2 tramway towards the airport and get off at the “San Donato-Università” stop (ca. 15 minutes). From this tram stop you can reach the conference venue on foot in a few minutes.
From the Firenze Rifredi train station, the conference venue can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes.
Near the university buildings, in Via Sandro Pertini, you can find a paid underground car park (Parking SAN DONATO). Parking in the surrounding streets is subjected to charges (blue lines) or reserved for the residents of the area (white lines).

The deadline for abstract submission is May 31, 2024.
One page abstract (please use the Word or OpenDocument template provided) written in English must be sent by e-mail to: firenze2024@gidrm.org. Please specify in the message if you prefer a poster or an oral communication and send the Word or OpenDocument and NOT the .pdf file. Please name the file only with your surname.
In the template, a list of keywords is provided. Please, select those ones suitable for your contribution.
Please download the template and follow the style therein in writing your abstract.
You will be notified of the acceptance of your contribution by June 20, 2024.
Scientific contributions presented as oral communications must last a maximum of 15 minutes (12’ presentation followed by 3′ questions).
The official language of the meeting is English.
The language for posters is English.
Posters preferred size: A1 (594 mm width x 841 mm height), maximum size: 700 mm width x 1000 mm height.
All posters presented by under 35 researchers are eligible to take part in the GIDRM poster contest.
The posters presented by young researchers who are entitled to an Attendance Grant are automatically part of the competition.
Posters will be judged by a committee composed by all foreign invited speakers.
The winners of the Poster Contest will receive a prize and will present their posters as an oral communication of 10 minutes (7’ + 3’ dedicated to questions).

It is possible to register for a single day at a cost € 150 for GIDRM members and of € 180 + IVA for non members.
Even if you are a GIDRM member but still require the invoice you will have to add 22% VAT to the registration fee. In this case please contact pagamenti@gidrm.org
Please note that to be entitled to pay the GIDRM member registration fee it is sufficient to subscribe the GIDRM membership for 2024.
To attend the event, you must purchase the ticket of your choice at the top of this page.
You must be registered and logged into the GIDRM website to purchase tickets.
To complete the purchase, you will need to complete the registration form.

After a succesful registration log in into your new account, return to this page and buy the ticket you want;

For GIDRM members whose registration fee is paid by their institution: “Qualora la quota di registrazione a un evento venga pagata a seguito di emissione di fattura intestata all’Ente invece che direttamente dal Socio, è possibile applicare l’esenzione IVA su dichiarazione dell’Ente stesso. A questo scopo è necessario che l’Ente invii al GIDRM copia della dichiarazione di esenzione IVA ai sensi dell’art. 10 del D.P.R. n. 633 del 26.10.72 e successive modificazioni e integrazioni.”
A limited number of Attendance Grants (two of which sponsored by Fondazione De Marco) will be available for early career (under 35) researchers.
If you are an under 35 researcher and want to apply for a GIDRM grant, please submit your abstract, your curriculum vitae (using this template) and a presentation letter from your research supervisor before May 31th by e-mail to: firenze2024@gidrm.org
GIDRM Grants will cover registration fee and accommodation expenses (accommodation will be booked by the organizers) and are intended for regular GIDRM members that have subscribed to the membership for 2024.
A limited number of GIDRM attendance grants will be awarded after evaluation of the submitted documents.
Notification of cancellation must be sent to the congress e-mail address firenze2024@gidrm.org ).
If cancellation is made before August 20, 2024, 90% of the registration fee will be refunded.
No refund will be given for cancellation requests reaching the GIDRM after August 20, 2024.
All refunds will be processed after the congress.
Refund claims must include bank address and account number for money transfer.
Accommodation is NOT included in the registration fee.
Participants are kindly invited to book their own hotel rooms.
IMPORTANT: to save money and benefit from the best prices, please book your accommodation in Florence as soon as you can.
