We are seeking applicants for a 24-month Postdoctoral Fellowship starting in June/July 2023 at the Dept. of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering “G. Natta” of Politecnico di Milano.
The position is within the project “New approaches to recovery criticAl MEtals from spent LIthium-ions batteries (AMELIE)” funded by the PNRR MICS (3A-ITALY) Extended partnership.
The research activity will explore the capability of deep eutectic solvents (DES) to extract added-value components from spent electrodes of lithium ion batteries. State-of-the-art NMR methods will be applied to study the solvation and transport features of the DES-analytes systems.
The applicants should have a PhD (chemistry, physics, chemical engineering or similar), strong motivation for DES-based projects, enthusiasm and good basic knowledge in NMR spectroscopy.
The annual gross salary is 35,000 €, corresponding to a net salary of ca. 2080 €/month.
